Rare Prussian Enlisted Metal Ersatz Uhlan Tschapka

Original & Untouched.

Prussian Line Uhlan Enlisted Man stamped m metal Ersatz helmet circa 1914. This pattern one of the early wartime stamped metal helmets. Black enamelled thin metal helmet body with pre-war quality brass trim. The helmet has an excellent form of the traditional uhlan style. Exterior black enamel is in mint condition and still has nice sheen. No extra holes in the helmet body. Black enameled mortar board is in mint condition. The mortar board has the knot for parade cords and has holes in the corners for hooking in the parade rabatte. The helmet interior has an undyed leather headliner. Inside the metal helmet bell is a leather skull piece to attached headliner and improve wearing comfort. Leather lining is complete with leather drawstring. The front plate is the Prussian Line Regiments Heraldic Eagle. There are no regimental markings found. Brass side posts with original leather chinstrap and original Reichs cockade. The field badge has moth nip (see photo). Beautiful and all original wartime ERSATZ Tschapka. All original, untouched and in near mint condition.
