Prussian Line Pioneer Battalion Enlisted Man Model 1895. Wonderful OUT OF THE ATTIC find. Black leather helmet body with German Silver metal fittings. Leather helmet has excellent form and firm stitching. Fine leather finish and shows age but has no damage and no lacquer loss (see pictures). Some damage to leather where back spine at 1/3 down fixes to the shell, but barely visible. The helmet interior is the black leather EM style that has original drawstring
Inside the left back panel is ink marked 'P.B. 30-EB 16”. The helmet front plate is the Prussian line eagle in silver. Spike top is the standard EM pattern that does not untwist. Leather chinstrap on M91 side lugs. Original Reichs and Prussian EM cockades. Excellent pre-war all silver Pioneer enlisted man helmet. Excellent example of a used WWI Engineers helmet. Absolutely ALL ORIGINAL and UNTOUCHED.
