RARE!! Hamburg City State Militia Uhlan Officer Model 1830. Beautiful and elegant leather Uhlan style helmet with horsehair plume. Tall black leather helmet with silver and gilded brass trim. Helmet body in excellent condition. Over tall mortar board with black cloth rabatte. Unique pointed leather tabbed liner. Frontplate is a large silver half star on which is the gold heraldic arms of Hamburg. British inspired chained chinstrap on an elaborate silver and gilded rosette. Hamburg Red Cross cockade applied to mortar board under the white horsehair plume. Beautiful and Extremely Rare pre-unification helmet.
