Baden Enlisted / NCO Dragoon Pickelhaube

Baden Dragoon Regiments 20-23, EM or NCO Model 1891-94. An “out of the woodwork” find that has not been cleaned or polished. Heavy black lacquered leather helmet body with silver metal trim. Leather helmet has excellent form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer is heavily crackled with some lacquer loss on the back left panel (see photo). Leather EM style tongued liner in excellent condition. Inner visors natural leather color with no visible markings.

No extra holes in leather helmet body. Silver metal trim has soft age tone. The Baden Griffin frontplate is held to helmet body with screws. Crossed spike bass with pearl ring and removable spike. Base held to helmet with domed screws. Rounded brass chinscales fitted over M91 side lugs. Reichs and Baden EM cockades. Complete and attractive helmet. Uncleaned and unpolished. Rare regiment.
