Prussian Grenadier Enlisted/NCO Pickelhaube

All original Grenadier.

Prussian Grenadier Enlisted Man Model 1891. Recently found at an antique show. Black lacquered leather helmet body with brass trim. Helmet body has fine form. Exterior lacquer has matte finish and is in good condition with some minor age crazing (see pictures). No extra holes in the helmet body. The frontplate is the Prussian Wide winged Grenadier Eagle that is held to the helmet body with loops and leather attachments. No extra holes in helmet body. The Eagle fits the helmet shell perfectly and left marks in body. Round base with split brad retainers and removable spike.

Both visor with good stitching. Back spine with ventilation slide/hole. The helmet interior has the NCO style black leather lining with 14 flaps in good condition and still supple...just dirty and old. No markings on back visor (see photo). NCO type original leather strap on M1891 style posts over a set of NCO type Prussian and Reichs Cockades. This is an all original helmet.
