Saxon Reserve Officer for Train Abteilung 12 or 19

Saxon 12 or 19th Train Regiment Reserve Officer Model 1895. Black lacquered leather helmet body with fire gilt trim. Helmet body has perfect form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer is flawless in near mint condition. Interior of helmet has sweat leather and green silk headliner complete in excellent + condition only one small stain visible on picture, otherwise about mint as well.

No extra holes in helmet body. Front plate is the Saxon fire gilt star and silver center device along with silver reserve cross. All trim including base & spike retains most of its fire gilting. Gold stars at base of helmet. Spike is removable which is proper for this unit as they wore a black Haarbusch. Beautiful Gold chinscales on rosettes. Special non-seratted Saxon and Reichs cockades. This helmet is 100% original and untouched. Great WWI era Saxon Officers helmet from a rare regiment.
