Prussian Jäger Enlisted Shako Model 1915

Prussian Field Gray Jaeger EM Model 1915. Another "Barn Find" from the Parker Collection. Rod Parker was an advanced Imperial WWI era Collector from the 1960's through 2000. He lived on the family ranch in rural Texas. Rod died suddenly in 2000. Sadly, his family put much of his collection in the barn outside the family home for over 20 years. We have a lot of stories. This helmet is a leather shako Model 1915. Leather body has excellent shape and firm stitching. The black lacquer is in good condition with only age related spidering. No extra holes in the helmet body. The helmet interior has full non-dyed leather liner. The liner is dry but otherwise OK. There is a small tear on the ear piece but no leather lost. Marked inside helmet bell "BA XIV 1916" and the maker stamp that is not legible. Missing field badge, Reichs cockade, and chinstrap. This is a nice helmet for restoration. Bargain priced.
