Saxon Reserve 105th Infantry Officer Pickelhaube and Visor

A beautiful set that came straight from Saxony/Family and was left untouched evr since last worn. The set came in the original carrying case along with teh Officers "Carte de Visite" named to M.Schulz Leutnant der Reserve des 6 Königl. Sachs Infanterie Nr. 105.....

Black lacquered leather helmet body in excellent condition and shape. Only some minor crazing to the overall body that is usual as well as the visor. Fire gilt trim that has never been polished and retains most of its original finish. The frontplate is a Massive Saxon Star in gold with the center Arms of Saxony over a reserve cross in Silver. No extra holes in the helmet body.

Tall Gilt spike over the typically elongated Perlring base that is commonly seen with Saxon Officers helmets. 4 gold retaining stars. The front visor at the saxon semi rounded shaope and is lined in green. Back visor with red lining inside. A set of flat gilt chinscales overs both Saxon and Reichs Cockades complete this helmet. Inside lining in calf skin and silk near mint just a bit dirty (see photos). Calfsking lining stamped with famous Saxon Maker "Horridoh!".

The visor cap has crisp dartk blue colours with red piping and bandeau. Both Officers Reichs Cockades and Saxon "Reserve" on the front band. Inside Lining is near mint (slightly loosening towards the back - see picture) and in beautiful white silk. Black carrying case with a brocken strap otherwise in good condition. A Rare set to be found....left unseparated.
