Württemberg Artillery Offizier Stellvertreter Pickelhaube

Württemberg Field Artillery Regiments 13, 29, 49 and 65. Black lacquered leather helmet body in MINT condition. This helmet has been "aptiert" from an "Einjahrfreiwilligen" (one year Volunteer) to an Officer Aspirant or "Stellvertreter". Traces of the Round Spike base can be seen underneath the later Cross Base with the addition of a full officers Frontplate. All trim is MATCHING in a redish Gold colour. Including the officers cross base maintained by 4 round brads and removable ball top. Makers labeled by the classy "Awes Marke".

The Frontplate is the Württemberg Officers type held to helmet by two screws/nuts (one extra holes present when plate was changed to full officer). Inside shows the full officers calfskin and silk liner (some tears to silk). Size 56. A set of convex chinscales maintained by rosettes over the Reichs and State Cockades will complete this helmet. This helmet is garanteed 100% original to period. All modification "aptierungen" are periode made. A beautifull and Rare helmet.
